Italian Salad Potato Chips

Oh my goodness, these chips are good! I have no clue what "Italian Salad" really means, I am guessing the flavor is meant to be similar to Italian dressing. Whatever it is, it sure is tasty.

So today, I wanted to sleep in. But I made myself get up and eat, but then I ended up not eating much cause I didn't feel good. I don't know if I will get up tomorrow. I was planning on going back to sleep, but then I remembered I had a skype date with Robby and Kino... but Robby forgot, so it was just him. :P Which is lovely, and it was nice to see his family. <3

I decided to be good and not go back to sleep. First order of business was to go to the Interac office and ask about my housing. Koda-san said they found me a 2DK in Yamatsuri, about 500m away from the high school! YAY! The one problem, as she explained, was that it was a double tatami room. I actually love tatami rooms, but she informed me that upon moving out, you have to pay to fix or replace the tatami (Japanese mats) depending on the wear upon them. -_-;;; I am sure I will be fine, but WHY DO THEY HAVE THEM IF THEY ARE SO DARN SENSITIVE!?!?

A tatami room.

I asked her about the other apartment, that was in Hanawa, and told her the price. When she was trying to persuade me on how more expensive it would be she was like "from August, no... September" and I was like "oh goodness" :o. I think I will be here a little bit longer at least... but then the question that begs to be asked is... WHY AM I HERE?!

At least I am getting paid starting today. And my housing is free for the time being. It is just so very odd. I think I am a special case though, because the earthquake and tsunami messed everything up. So I am not worried. I'm watching this show about some kids and their losses from the tsunami. This one girl's room was on the second floor of her house and the tsunami just swamped it. She was like "My heart hurts. When you are studying, or anything, your room is your favorite place. There is nothing left." So sad. ;-;

So anyway, after I went to the office, I got some lunch. It was the most wonderful sandwich trio. Oh my, so tasty. ヽ(´▽`)/ It was only 240 too!

Next I went to the department store. On the way I saw a cat, and I pet it! YAY!

I will call him Bilbo, because that is the first name that popped into my head. XD

At the department store I browsed through the clothing and bought a cute, comfy dress for 1000 yen. They have the cutest clothes here! I have to say, I am very proud because I am being very selective! (Like I didn't buy that cute skirt for only 777, or that one for 500...)

I also looked at yukata! I want to buy one soon. This weekend there is a fireworks festival in Hitachi. I was planning on going to Sendai for Tanabata, but all the hotels are sold out, and I honestly don't have the energy. *sigh* Maybe I will find some later this week. But in the mean time, please help me choose a yukata here!

I also looked at a book store and bought the most amaizing book for 500 yen! It is a book of English idioms with the Japanese counterparts. I feel that Japanese books teaching English help me learn Japanese better than the other way around. >.<

I thought the bag was interesting lol.

I also bought some itch reliever before going to the market. So happy!

I ran out of snacks yesterday, so I had to stock up. It was a very sucessful trip! I found some really cheap microwave meals, like under 200 yen for a noodle dish. SO HAPPY. I also bought some bread, bananas, strawberry jam, water, veggie juice, and also somen. I also thought these were awesome, but I didn't buy any. >.<

Yes, that is fried squid. >//<

That's all! Bai!
